10:42PM - Nerd quiz!

9:48AM - Grrrrr.....

Headed to the bank to fill out fraud papers since someone used my debit card to buy a train ticket in the UK. I'm really wondering if this is random (someone got my card from online) or a certain British guy I let stay with me copied down my number at some point in time. Does sound like a common promblem of his, not having enough money to get where he wants to go.  Anyhow... time to go get my money back to pay MY bills and get money since I have to try living without a debit card for a week or two.

4:31PM - Thankful for home waranties

Today the plumber came out again because the hot water heater provides about 3mins of water and the tub stopped draining. Upon investigating further the tub drain was leaking and making a nasty puddle under the floor of my coat closet...ick. The plumber attempted unsucessfully to unclog the drain and make hot water and finally decided the water heater needs a new part and the plumbing from the tub will need to be replaced entirely. This will involve tearing the wall and part of concrete floor out of the coat closet and I'm sure make another terrible mess. Fixing things seems to be creating messes faster than I can get things organized around here...between this and the new windows I'm sure I'll have lots of new projects and messes to clean up. Anyhow for now the plumber has to order parts and he cut the clogged drain pipe off the tub so now it just drains into the ground. He said this might allow for one quick lukewarm shower daily without flooding my living room till they get back to fix things on Tuesday morning. I am so thankful for home warranties because the estimate for this job was around $700...eek. I also highly recommend Village Plumbing, the company doing the work. They really seem to know what they're doing and by the time things stop getting clogged and leaking I'll probably have almost entirely new plumbing in my bathroom :)

2:24PM - Newest (temporary) family member

Meet Dot a 10 year old mutt whose family is currently having issues finding a place where she can live. She may be staying here for up to a year. She has been very well behaved aside from the fact she thinks Domino is a toy and teriibly fun to chase. Hopefully they can learn to coexist in peace :)
